Role Specification:
This role will be central to the smooth running of our day-to-day finance operations and the accuracy of the financial information upon which the business relies. Working closely with other members of the finance team, you will make sure that transactions are processed accurately and on time, giving leadership a reliable basis for reporting and decision-making.

You will take ownership of core transactional processes, support month-end close, VAT and audit work, and contribute to improvements in finance systems and automation as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Business as Usual
- Processing of company debit card expenses daily
- Processing of employee expenses
- Assisting employees with expense queries
- Processing of purchase invoices
- Processing company purchase orders as required
- Daily bank reconciliations on all bank accounts
- Raising sales invoices for subscription service clients
- Being pro-active on the collection of overdue debt
- Assisting in the maintenance of the company sales order book
- Assisting with accounts inbox management
- Set up weekly supplier payment runs for review
Month-End Accounting Assistance
- Ensuring all bank accounts are fully reconciled
- Ensuring all P&L transactions are assigned to correct tracking categories
- Depreciation and fixed asset reconciliation
- Prepayments
- Exceptional costs
- Other adjusting journals as required

Compliance
- Assistance with audit requests
- Preparation of quarterly VAT return for review
Other
- Ad-hoc analysis of financial data
- Assisting in finance projects
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
- Part-qualified accountant (AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in day-to-day transactional processes and financial operations
- Experience assisting with month-end processes and journals
- Experience assisting with audit requests
- Knowledge of VAT treatment and drafting of VAT returns
- Experience with Microsoft tools and apps, especially Excel
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a remote and fast-growing environment
Desirable
- Exposure to revenue recognition, WIP accounting, or deferred income
- Experience improving finance systems or implementing automation
- Experience working with project-based or services businesses
- Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth business
Please note that this role requires the successful candidate to be eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
