Finance Officer / Administrator
We’re recruiting a Finance Officer / Administrator at the British Schools Museum in Hitchin.
We are looking for a reliable and organised person with finance experience to join our small, friendly team.
Hours: 20 hours per week, ideally Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, with some flexibility.
Salary: £26,500 per annum, full time equivalent, pro rata for 20 hours per week.
Reporting to the Museum Manager and supported by Trustees with finance responsibilities, you will manage our day to day finances, prepare monthly accounts and audience statistics, and support payroll, donations, grants and Gift Aid administration.

You will also work alongside our Assistant Manager to help coordinate school and group bookings, respond to enquiries and support general administration.
We are looking for confidence using Microsoft Office and Sage Online, strong attention to detail, discretion and a considerate approach to working with others. Experience of charity finance or payroll would be helpful but is not essential.
