Location: GoCo Tamworth Office - Ste 206 Level 1/279B Marius St, Tamworth NSW 2340
Contract Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Salary Range: Grade 10 ($1403.60 - $1549.31 per week + 12% Superannuation)

Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, with Rostered Day Off every 3 Weeks (Flexible Working Arrangements may be available to successful candidate)

GoCo Community Care is a business entity of Gunnedah Shire Council, specialising in providing personalised care and support to people across the New England North West who want the freedom to live independently in the comfort of their own home. The role of GoCo Finance Officer is an integral part of our team, and supports the commitment we make to our community in providing efficient, responsive, open and accessible services to them.

Our Next GoCo Finance Officer
Reporting to the Finance Leader, you will be responsible for providing finance, administrative and clerical support and assistance to GoCo staff and customers. In addition to this
Key Responsibilities For This Role Include
- Maintain Petty Cash for GoCo.
- Maintain assigned financial records for GoCo clients in ECM
- Regular checking and finalising finance related AlayaCare and Dataworks task
- Monthly Medicare claim and leave lodgement for all HCP clients in Proda
- Raise admin purchase orders.
- Assist GoCo Packages team with raising relevant purchase orders.
- Prepare & process monthly request for raising income invoices across all GoCo programs.
- Participate actively in the accounts receivable process including debt recovery & other necessary responsibilities.
- Process all GoCo Supplier invoices and manage the invoice matching procedure with purchase order to ensure smooth payment process in accounts payable.
- Manage all the steps of supplier invoice checking procedure in AlayaCare and record all invoices under invoices tracking procedure.
- Prepare, review and do necessary fixing HCP Client Budgets in AlayaCare
- Assist GoCo Finance Leader on Monthly HCP Statement preparation
- Assist with maintenance of GoCo assets.
- Dealing with various government departments as required.
- Assist finance leader with producing various financial reports.
- Regular travel to other GoCo outlets & meetings as required.
- Maintain a hazard free administration work area.
- Maintain co-operative and cordial relationships with fellow GoCo team members, clients and service providers.
- Liaison with Council finance in a regular basis for Accounts payable and Receivable related query.
- Adhere to the Gunnedah Shire Council Code of Conduct
- Maintain the corporate dress standards as described in the corporate uniform policy and procedure.
- Undertake other duties as required.

What You’ll Bring To The Team
To qualify, you will need a business qualification and/ or relevant Finance/Accounting work experience.
Key Requirements For This Position Include
- Excellent computer skills including a thorough knowledge of the application of the use of Microsoft software.
- Advanced data input and records management skills.
- A current NSW driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels
- An ability to identify and solve problems relevant to the job.
- Excellent customer service skills, including a capacity to empathise, and effectively communicate, with frail elderly people, disabled people and their carers and with people of various cultural backgrounds including those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent
- An understanding of the need for safe practices in the workplace.
- A commitment to harassment and discrimination free workplace
While not required, desirable characteristics of a successful candidate could include:
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of community care and community development.
- Previous experience in Local Government.
- A current First Aid Certificate.
- Knowledge of the New Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care User Rights Principles.
