Job Description

About the role

The Guinness Partnership is looking to recruit a Finance Officer – Reconciliations based in Oldham on a full-time permanent basis.

We currently offer hybrid working, blending three office days with 2 days working from home.

What we are looking for

The finance team at The Guinness Partnership play a critical role in the success of the organisation. Our overall aim is to ensure Guinness has a strong financial base from which we can be a high-performing organisation.

You will reconcile balance sheet accounts, taking action to resolve queries and investigate reconciling items. You will also monitor the cash management module for unreconciled transactions, and ensure control accounts are accurately maintained, whilst responding to internal and external queries promptly and effectively.

Essential criteria

  • Good working knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Experience in balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience of month-end financial processes.
  • Good understanding of internal financial controls.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Good oral and written communication.

Desirable skills

  • Experience of Oracle Fusion Cloud.

Essential Qualifications

  • Studying towards AAT or CCAB/CIMA qualification.
