Job Introduction

The Strategic Contracts Team

Sitting at the heart of the Procurement Service, the Strategic Contracts Team oversees the entire procurement life cycle from purchase to pay invoicing and receipting through to contract award and notice publication and managing a range of corporate contracts.

The Role And The Main Responsibilities

We are looking for a P2P Finance Officer to join our dedicated team in Corporate Resources. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.

The Main Responsibilities Of This Role:

  • Ensure that the use of associated P2P processes, purchasing practices and associated documentation are used appropriately and accurately in all council contracts
  • Utilising and updating the central Contracts and Grants Register
  • Place travel and stationery orders in accordance with the corporate contracts in place
  • Assisting contract officers, managers and procurement queries from internal and external stakeholders
