Finance Officer (Student Fees)

The role

An established Higher Education organisation in Oxford is looking for a Finance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This person will be responsible for the administration and smooth running of the student sales ledger function.

Responsibilities

  • Checking and posting all student charges
  • Being responsible for student tuition fees, accommodation costs, and associated charges
  • Dealing with day-to-day queries from students
  • Respond quickly to emails and support students
  • Maintain accurate records using accounting software
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of control accounts
  • Termly reconciliation of tuition fees
  • Assisting on ongoing development of internal documentation, records, and systems
  • Assisting with preparations for audit
  • Cover for payroll and purchase ledger responsibilities, should the need arise

  • Previous accounting experience and financial administration
  • AAT qualified or equivalent
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills
  • Good level of IT skills including Microsoft Excel
  • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
