About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity to build on the strengths within our Finance Team.
Keep Wales Tidy is currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to work within our busy Finance Team. The role is home-based, with the ideal candidate being located in the South Wales area. They will support a range of financial activities across Wales.
Key Information
- Salary: £29,998
- Location: Home-based, living in South Wales
- Tenure: Permanent position, subject to continuing funding
- Hours: 35 hours per week across Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to work these on a flexible basis
Person Specification
- The ability to prioritise, plan and manage a varied workload to meet demanding deadlines.
- The ability to build effective relationships with staff, management, key individuals and organisations at all levels.
- Have a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Be a flexible team player with a collaborative working ethos who recognises the benefits of partnership working.
- Be willing to work flexible hours, as required.
Key Tasks
- Processing purchase order requests in the accounting system, checking coding is correct.
- Receiving and recording supplier invoices and processing them within the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and matching them to purchase orders.
- Setting up payments ready for approval in banking apps.
- Processing expense claims transactions.
- Verifying, checking supporting documentation for, and seeking approval of, staff and other stakeholder or meeting participants’ expenses claims. Resolving coding allocation issues.
- Receiving and monitoring requests for issuing sales invoices.
- Raising, recording, and sending out sales invoices and processing these transactions within the accounting system.
- Assisting bank reconciliation tasks.
- Providing support or leading on financial department-based tasks.
