Contract
Part-Time, 16 hours per week
Purpose of Role
The Finance Officer is responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the NWCU, including bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting, alongside general office administration and support to the management team. This role ensures the Union's financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Carry out day-to-day financial processes including invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and ledger management.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
- Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets across departments and projects.
- Ensure financial compliance with funder, sponsor, and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial partners as required.
Systems & Payroll
- Working with accounting software packages.
- Payroll administration.
Administration
- General filing and office administration.
- Providing administration support to the management team as required.
- Data entry and record keeping.

Requirements
- Previous office administration experience.
- Experience using Accounting software packages.
- Experience with payroll would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
