Finance Operations Accountant

London | Hybrid

Are you a qualified or part qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership and broaden your experience?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international live entertainment business in a newly created Finance Operations Accountant position, working closely with the Finance Operations Manager and playing an important role in developing a high-performing Head Office finance function.

With a diverse portfolio of live events, festivals and cultural experiences across multiple markets, this is a busy environment where no two days are quite the same.

The role offers a broad remit across financial accounting, AP, AR, intercompany, VAT, cash reporting, expenses and month-end, alongside opportunities to gain exposure to more complex areas of group and technical accounting.

What you'll be doing

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day financial accounting for three Head Office entities, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled.
  • Manage the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process, including purchase orders, supplier master data and invoice processing.
  • Manage the sales ledger, ensuring invoices are raised accurately and outstanding debts are collected promptly.
  • Work with Treasury to maintain the Head Office loan register, including loan schedules, interest, repayments and accounting entries.
  • Review and approve employee expenses in line with Group policies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly cash reporting and ensure cash balances are accurately reconciled.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations, working with finance teams across the wider Group to resolve differences.
  • Prepare and submit Group VAT returns, reviewing VAT treatment and supporting improvements to VAT processes and controls.
  • Support the month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
  • Gain exposure to more complex areas of technical accounting and group reporting, potentially including acquisitions, financing arrangements, share-based payments and consolidations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, automation and the quality of financial information.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the wider business and finance function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why this role?

This is a newly created position, so you'll have the opportunity to make your mark rather than simply inherit an established process.
