Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

We're looking for someone who is good with Excel, enjoys working with data and is naturally curious when something doesn't look right.

You don't necessarily need to know all the answers - but you should be the type of person who will try to find the answer, investigate the issue and work through a problem before simply asking someone else to solve it.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in finance, accounts, operations, administration or a manufacturing environment
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and data
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to spot discrepancies and investigate the reasons behind them
  • A methodical approach to data entry and record keeping
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to deal with queries
  • Experience with stock, invoicing or production data would be advantageous
