My exclusive client, based in Middleton (North Manchester) is a highly profitable and fast-growing £25m t/o specialist Contract Engineering SME delivering turnkey high margin Installation projects. In addition, the successful strategy to begin the process to roll out local Service hubs across the UK has achieved significant further increased profit uplift from maintenance services and replacement spare parts on installed capital equipment.
The MD/Founder has also strongly re-invested ongoing profits into new state-of-the-art Production equipment at the Middleton main Production/Operations base which has led to winning a number of new Blue Chip customers and also been recognised with several Industry Awards for Excellence.
The very high calibre entrepreneurial MD is now looking to selectively recruit a highly capable and "switched on" Finance & Operations Director to operate as his "right hand" to deliver this ongoing exciting growth strategy (both Organic plus potential targeted Acquisitions) as well as to further professionalise the entire company infrastructure in order to attract significant new PE minority investment within the next 18 months - 2 years with the definite clear intention for the high-quality Management Team to remain in place for the longer term.

Candidate profile:
A high calibre ambitious qualified Finance professional on the "upward trajectory" of their career.
Due to the strong Operational and Commercial/Strategic emphasis of this Finance leadership role, the MD is very keen to attract the "right" candidate with relevant Contract Engineering/Engineering Services sector knowledge and experience; additional further experience of rolling out Service hubs within an Engineering environment would be ideal although not a prerequisite.

Previous successful experience of raising Finance and also bolt-on Acquisitions would also be an advantage.
You will need to be a confident, hands-on and robust professional capable of operating at all levels across this growing SME Engineering business and also possess the credibility to develop strong and trusted relationships with all professional stakeholders including the future PE firm investment partner.
