Mission
Airspeed is changing how revenue teams work. Our AI Revenue Orchestration Platform doesn't just analyze conversations — it acts on them. By turning every customer interaction into insight and action, Airspeed Agents help teams close gaps, move faster, and focus on what matters most: selling.
With 100+ SaaS customers and 90%+ adoption among reps, Airspeed is setting a new standard for execution at scale.
The Role
We're hiring a Finance & Operations Lead to build the financial and operational foundations that will support Airspeed's next stage of growth. You'll own our finance engine, company reporting, and core operating systems — helping make Airspeed easier to run and its decisions better.
This is a senior, hands-on role built for a high-performance operator who can move from financial modeling and board reporting to improving workflows and building scalable systems.
You'll report directly to the CEO and work closely with both founders and every functional leader.
This is not a conventional Chief of Staff, strategy-only, or back-office finance role. It's a builder-operator role for someone who takes full ownership of results and uses AI and automation to remove manual work wherever possible.
What You'll Own
Finance and Reporting
- Own the budget, rolling forecast, cash, runway, and scenario planning — giving leadership a clear, trusted view of the company's financial position and future needs.
- Run a fast and accurate monthly close with our external accounting partners, and produce clear management and board reporting that explains what happened, why it happened, and what requires a decision.
- Build a trusted view of ARR, bookings, retention, gross margin, burn, headcount, and unit economics, with clear definitions and reconciled data sources.
- Oversee billing, collections, payroll coordination, expenses, procurement, and vendors, while putting practical controls in place to keep Airspeed ready for fundraising, audit, tax, and diligence.
AI, Automation, and Systems
- Make Airspeed AI-native in how we operate, not only in what we sell — redesigning recurring workflows with AI agents, automation tools, APIs, and lightweight code.
- Build dependable operating systems with clean data, exception handling, audit trails, and human approval where needed, and create self-serve workflows that don't depend on you becoming the human router for every request.
- Measure the impact of automation through speed, accuracy, reporting latency, and manual hours removed, while helping teams use AI safely with sensitive data and high-stakes decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Company Operations
- Own the company operating cadence, including planning, KPI reviews, and decision follow-through, ensuring teams have clarity on priorities, ownership, and next steps.
- Build scalable workflows for purchasing, contracts, onboarding, offboarding, access, and policies, and improve processes that cross team boundaries while keeping ownership clear.
- Hold external partners and vendors accountable for scope, service, cost, and quality. Step into important gaps when needed, then fix the underlying system so they don't continue to depend on you.
What Success Looks Like
- Leadership and the board trust the numbers and the forward forecast.
- Close, reporting, forecasting, and planning run on a clear schedule with minimal manual chasing.
- Core SaaS metrics have clear definitions and reconciled sources.
- High-volume workflows are automated, monitored, and documented.
- Airspeed can continue to grow without finance and operations headcount increasing with every layer of complexity.
Qualifications
- Experience in finance, business operations, or a combined role at a scaling B2B SaaS or technology company.
- Hands-on ownership of planning, forecasting, management reporting, cash, runway, and board materials.
- A track record of building operating systems, not simply administering existing processes.
- Strong data and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to connect information across systems and identify when the underlying data can't be trusted.
- An AI-native working style, with experience using AI to analyze, draft, reconcile, monitor, automate, and execute work.
- Sound commercial judgment and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues simply and challenge senior stakeholders when needed.
- A bias for action: a high-ownership, low-ego operator who is comfortable moving between company-level questions and detailed execution.
- Comfort working closely across Finance, Sales, Product, Engineering, and other functional teams in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
