We’re supporting an established UK energy operator with international operations in the appointment of a Finance Operations Manager.
This is a senior operational finance role with responsibility for leading key finance activities across Accounts Payable, payments, financial controls, working capital and finance systems. You’ll lead and develop the operational finance team while working closely with Finance, IT and wider business stakeholders to strengthen processes, improve controls and drive greater consistency across the organisation.
A major part of the role will also involve oversight of SAP and SUN systems, supporting the transition to SAP S/4HANA and identifying opportunities to improve finance operations through automation, digital tools and AI-enabled solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing operational finance team
- Overseeing AP, payment processes and finance controls
- Supporting bank reconciliations, working capital reporting and period-end activities
- Driving process standardisation and continuous improvement
- Overseeing finance systems and supporting SAP transformation activity
- Working closely with Finance, IT and operational stakeholders
- Championing automation, digitalisation and improved financial controls

We’re looking for someone with:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Significant finance operations leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, billing, revenue accounting and working capital
- Strong SAP finance experience
- Experience delivering finance transformation or process improvement initiatives
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
Experience within energy, oil & gas, infrastructure or another complex asset-led environment would be particularly relevant.
