ABOUT 8IGHT PLUS
8ight Plus is a small but rapidly growing fast-paced print management/managed service company, working with a range of clients and a network of print and production suppliers to deliver high-quality print solutions.
As the business continues to develop, we are looking for an experienced, proactive and highly organised Finance & Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function, while also supporting HR administration, compliance and wider business processes.
This is a varied, hands-on position within a small team. We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail, taking ownership and helping us introduce, improve and maintain effective processes and controls across the business.
THE ROLE
You will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of 8ight Plus, ensuring our financial records are accurate and up to date and providing senior management with clear and timely financial information.
Alongside finance, you will help coordinate HR administration, company compliance and accreditations, as well as supporting the wider team with general business administration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance & Accounts
- Purchase and sales ledger management
- Credit control and monitoring outstanding customer accounts
- Maintaining and monitoring aged debtors and creditors, including investigating account discrepancies
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT administration and returns
- Month-end close and preparation of management accounts
- Management reporting
- Weekly and monthly cash-flow monitoring and forecasting
- Supplier payment preparation and management
- Xero and print management/MIS system administration, including investigating discrepancies between systems
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Supporting senior management with financial information and reporting

Payroll & HR Administration
- Coordinating monthly payroll information with our third-party payroll provider
- Reviewing monthly payroll reports prior to approval
- Maintaining relevant employee and HR administration
- Supporting holiday, sickness and other HR records
- Liaising with external HR advisers where required
- Maintaining appropriate HR documentation and processes
Compliance & Accreditations
- Managing ISO certifications and other company accreditations
- Coordinating audits, reviews and accreditation renewals
- Maintaining policies, procedures and supporting compliance documentation
- Ensuring required processes and records are maintained across the business
- Coordinating actions and improvements arising from audits
- Maintaining a compliance calendar for audits, renewals and submissions
- Supporting client and supplier compliance questionnaires and due-diligence requirements
Business Administration
- Carrying out credit checks for new suppliers and clients where required
- Managing new supplier and client documentation
- Helping to develop and improve internal finance and administrative processes
- Supporting senior management with general administration
- Providing wider administrative support to the 8ight Plus team as required
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership.
You will ideally have strong practical experience of day-to-day financial management within a small or medium-sized business and be confident working independently while communicating clearly with senior management and the wider team.
Experience with Xero is highly desirable, along with practical knowledge of purchase and sales ledgers, credit control, VAT, management accounts and cash-flow forecasting.

You should be comfortable reviewing a Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, identifying unusual transactions or variances and explaining key financial information clearly to senior management.
Experience coordinating ISO certifications, audits, compliance or other business accreditations would also be advantageous. You don't necessarily need to be an ISO specialist, but you should be comfortable taking responsibility for documentation, deadlines, external advisers and ensuring agreed processes are followed.
Experience within print, print management, manufacturing or another supplier-led business would be beneficial but is not essential.
Above all, we're looking for someone who enjoys working in a small, fast-moving business, can identify what needs to be done and is keen to help us improve the way we work.
