Finance Operations Manager
Liverpool City Centre - 2 days office
£55K - £60K

We're partnering with a large, complex organisation to recruit an experienced, qualified, Finance Operations Manager to lead a high‑volume transactional finance team and drive operational excellence across AP, AR and payment processes.
This is a senior role within the finance function, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, brings strong technical expertise, and enjoys improving processes, controls and reporting. You'll play a key part in modernising finance operations, supporting system enhancements, and ensuring robust financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high‑volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
- Oversee all AP/AR processes including invoice workflow, debt management, cash collection and ledger accuracy
- Drive improvements in working capital, reporting cycles, budgeting and forecasting
- Strengthen financial controls, risk management and compliance across transactional finance
- Develop reporting, dashboards and commentary for senior leadership
- Support system upgrades and process improvement projects
- Build strong relationships across finance, operations and external stakeholders
- Provide leadership, coaching and development to a busy transactional team

What We're Looking For
- Qualified Accountant - essential
- Extensive experience managing large transactional finance teams
- Strong understanding of AP/AR processes, controls and compliance
- Proven ability to operate in a large, complex organisation
- Skilled in analysing high‑volume financial data and producing clear reporting
- Confident leader able to motivate teams and drive change
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
