We’re looking for a Finance Operations Manager to join a high-growth, VC-backed business as it continues to scale internationally.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation at a key stage of its development. The finance team is evolving alongside the wider business, creating an opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, improving processes and building scalable finance operations.
The role combines financial operations, month-end close, treasury, payroll, VAT, financial controls, and process improvement. You’ll work closely with the Group Financial Controller and stakeholders across the business to ensure finance processes are accurate, efficient, and audit-ready.
What you’ll be doing
- Own key aspects of the month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare financial analysis, reconciliations, and management information.
- Support the Accounts Payable function and provide day-to-day guidance to the AP Lead.
- Review and authorize supplier payment runs within delegated authority.
- Manage treasury activities, including cash monitoring, bank reconciliations, and liquidity across multiple entities.
- Prepare VAT returns and support statutory finance requirements.
- Oversee payroll from a finance perspective, including reviewing payroll submissions and preparing payroll journals.
- Review employee expenses and credit card activity.
- Maintain strong financial controls, segregation of duties, and audit trails.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure finance records remain audit-ready.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to resolve finance queries and improve processes.
- Support the finance set-up of new countries and entities, including local compliance and payroll processes.
- Continuously improve finance systems, processes, and controls to support rapid business growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, has exceptional attention to detail, and enjoys getting stuck into problems. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment and will relish the opportunity to help build processes rather than simply inherit them.
