Finance Operations Manager
Mon - Fri, 40 hrs per week
We are looking for a Finance Operations Manager to lead our Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will keep our finance office running smoothly and strengthen our systems, controls and processes behind the business.

We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded Finance Operations Manager to join our friendly team in Worthing. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys balancing hands-on financial management with team leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. As our Finance Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our finance operations run efficiently and accurately across the business.
Whilst based at our Worthing office, our Finance Operations Manager will travel to our London kitchen and client offices a few times per month to collaborate with the onsite teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Ensure the timely processing and payment of supplier invoices
- Reconciliation of our bank and credit card statements to our Sage50 ERP
- Managing our Worthing office, ensuring adherence to health & safety requirements, office rota planning and general duties to ensure the smooth running of the office
- Overseeing client invoicing and debtor management
- Supporting monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations
- Working closely with operational teams to monitor purchasing and budgets
- Managing supplier spend reviews and supporting cost-saving initiatives
- Manage, coach and develop members of the finance team
- Ensuring finance processes are accurate, efficient, and continuously improving
- Building strong relationships across our sites and support functions
- Deputising for the Head of Finance on operational finance matters when required

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable taking ownership of multiple priorities. You'll be a natural problem solver who enjoys improving processes and supporting others to succeed.
You'll ideally have:
- A relevant business, finance, or accountancy qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Experience managing a finance team
- Proven progressive experience in a similar finance role within an SME environment
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Sage 50
- Hospitality industry experience would be a bonus, but not essential
