Finance & Operations Manager

Harmonic are partnering with a profitable, privately owned technology business to hire a Finance & Operations Manager. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, a supportive Director of Finance & Operations invested in your development, and genuine flexibility, with just one day a week in the office.

The Client

A profitable, privately owned technology business working in the sports and data space, built by a small, highly technical team. The business is self-funded and growing quickly, with headcount set to more than double this year, and finance and operations is now being built out to support that growth. The culture is relaxed and trusting: people are given ownership and left to manage their own schedules.

The Role

This is a hands-on Finance & Operations Manager role, owning the core back-office function day to day with external bookkeepers and accountants for support. It covers month-end, reconciliations, reporting, year-end, VAT, accounts payable and payroll, plus the operations side, including onboarding, benefits and insurance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
