Finance Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced Finance Operations Manager to manage a portfolio of client accounting and finance-support engagements within a professional services environment.
You will oversee delivery, reporting, client relationships, team performance and commercial management across multiple engagements.
The Role
- Manage client finance and accounting engagements
- Oversee management accounts, VAT, reconciliations and reporting
- Act as a key contact for senior finance stakeholders
- Manage deadlines, resources, budgets, billing and WIP
- Improve finance processes, controls and reporting
- Support year-end and external audit requirements
- Review work and coach junior team members
- Support proposals and client growth opportunities

What we are looking for
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Post-qualified professional practice or client accounting experience
- Strong UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge
- Experience managing multiple client engagements
- Good knowledge of VAT, reconciliations and month-end reporting
- Experience with budgets, billing, WIP or engagement profitability
- Strong Excel, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to attend London offices and client sites as required

Useful Experience
- Outsourcing, business services or management accounting
- Investment, property, fund or multi-entity clients
- Xero, NetSuite, CCH or similar systems
- Consolidations, group reporting or technical accounting
- Process improvement or business development exposure
