Finance Transactions Paralegal

At BCLP, we’ve built our firm on the foundations of thinking differently. Curious, inquisitive and unbound by tradition, we’re building change within our sector and beyond.

It starts with our people, which is why we need a Paralegal to join our Finance Transactions team in London or Manchester.

We work across multiple jurisdictions, which means exposure to the full spectrum of banking and finance work.

Our client base includes corporates, financial institutions, funds and private equity houses. The Finance Transactions group works closely with Corporate Transactions, Real Estate Finance and Energy and Infrastructure.

This is a great opportunity for a Paralegal to build up their finance knowledge as well as further develop their commercial skills and awareness. You will be exposed to high-quality finance and banking matters.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the more straightforward tasks on a wide variety of finance transactions including running and managing conditions precedent on large transactions
  • Assisting with post completion tasks, including security registrations, and general administration
  • Coordinating reports to clients, chasing internal teams on cross-departmental projects and sending out reports
  • Organising internal team meetings, agendas, keeping minutes of meetings and liaising with either fee-earners
  • Carrying out Companies House searches, completion searches and assisting with signing meetings
  • Drafting from precedent documents

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
