About the role

We’re looking for a commercially minded and proactive Finance Business Partner - Operations to join our team and play a key role in driving better business decisions. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Operations and Finance teams to provide insightful analysis, challenge thinking and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance. From supporting store issue pricing across Packaging and Ingredients to validating business cases and reviewing outcomes post-implementation, your insights will help shape smarter, more informed decisions across the business.

You’ll also play an important role in supporting monthly financial results, strengthening financial processes and controls, and building greater understanding between Finance and the wider business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, turning financial information into meaningful insights and making a tangible impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively engage in the business’s SHEQ agenda and ensuring you and team understand, adhere to, and meet the SHEQ requirements.
  • Deliver insightful monthly financial reports.
  • Support group profit goals through business case creation and validation, including post implementation reviews.
  • Ensure accuracy of cost of capital recovery.
  • Assist in developing group and customer budgets, working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Lead the annual SIP reset for Packaging and Ingredients and monitor on-going SIP impact.
  • Business partner with IT, Procurement, PMO and Transformation teams to drive value creation.

About You

  • Experience in a similar role within a large organisation.
  • Open minded with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build relationship, influence decision making and achieve results without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Prioritisation, planning and results & deadline-orientated.
  • Problem solving skills & attention to detail.
  • Advanced Financial modelling skills.
  • Work well autonomously & as part of a team.
  • Has experience in driving change management process.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding.
  • Excellent analytical and interpretative skills.
  • Strong ERP and standard costing system skills.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with multi-level relationships.
  • Detail conscious.
  • Highly organised.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Commercial role, ideally in large, complex FMCG organisations.
