Citadel Source are partnering with a leading global organisation to recruit a high-calibre Global Finance Process Lead (RTR). This is an opportunity to own the global Record-to-Report process and lead the strategic evolution of finance operations across an international business undergoing significant transformation.
Working with senior finance leaders, global stakeholders, and shared service partners, you will drive standardisation, automation, and process excellence across a complex environment. The role combines strategic influence with hands-on delivery in a respected market-leading business committed to continuous improvement.
About you
You will combine strategic thinking with operational excellence and have proven experience leading RTR process improvement in a large multinational or shared services environment. Comfortable working across finance, technology, and operations, you will influence senior stakeholders and deliver change at scale.
You will be motivated by building streamlined, scalable finance processes and using technology and automation to improve performance, controls, and stakeholder experience.
The role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will own the end-to-end RTR process, set the long-term process excellence strategy, and lead standardisation and service improvements across markets and business units.

As the Global Finance Process Lead (RTR), your responsibilities will include:
- Define and lead the global RTR strategy in line with finance transformation and organisational priorities.
- Drive simplification, standardisation, and automation across policy, governance, technology, data, and service delivery.
- Partner with finance leaders, functional teams, and regional stakeholders to improve end-to-end integration and performance.
- Own service metrics, SLAs, and stakeholder engagement, working with shared service and outsourced partners to embed continuous improvement.
- Develop global finance policies, procedures, and supporting technology platforms.
- Lead transformation and change programmes, ensuring adoption across international markets and supporting shared service expansion.
- Act as a trusted adviser on RTR best practice, process excellence, and operational performance.
What the client is looking for
- Experience leading RTR, Finance Process Excellence, or Global Business Services initiatives in a complex multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of RTR, finance operations, accounting principles, and financial reporting frameworks.
- A track record of translating strategy into successful transformation, standardisation, and automation programmes.
- Knowledge of finance technology, ERP systems, data governance, and process performance management.
- Credible subject matter expertise and the ability to solve complex operational challenges while influencing senior stakeholders and international teams.
- Degree educated and/or professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred).
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.

- Salary circa £100,000 - £110,000, depending on experience
