Adecco are please to be recruiting for a Finance & Procurement Design and Implementation Lead to work within the Staffordshire Police Force
Location: Stafford
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Daily Rate: £944.00 per day Umbrella
Contract End Date: November 2027
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 37 hours per week, Hybrid working
Driving Required: Yes
Interview will be taking place on Friday 4th September with a 2nd Interview to be arrange for the following week
Please note this role is subject to Police Vetting, you will need to have been residing within the UK for a Minimum of 5 Years
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance & Procurement Design and Implementation Lead to spearhead the finance transformation programme. This role is a unique opportunity to impact the public sector by leading the implementation of the Oracle Fusion Cloud solution, ensuring it aligns with both organisational and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include

Finance Solution Design & Leadership:
- Lead a dedicated team in the end-to-end functional design of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Procurement.
- Act as the primary functional expert, translating technical requirements into user-friendly processes for police officers and staff.

Configuration, Build & Implementation
- Collaborate closely with the Implementation Partner to ensure accurate configuration of finance, purchasing, and procurement modules.
- Ensure robust documentation and adherence to design authority principles throughout the project lifecycle.

Data, Integrations & Reporting
- Lead efforts in data migration and integrity to ensure a seamless transition to the new ERP system.
- Define and validate reporting requirements to meet statutory and operational needs.

Testing Leadership
- Collaborate with the Test Manager to create and validate test scenarios for System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.

Business Engagement & Change Support
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess business impacts and support change management efforts, ensuring successful adoption of the new system.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, And Experience
- A professional accountancy qualification (CCAB/CIMA/ACCA).
- Proven experience in implementing Oracle Cloud ERP Finance, with multiple full lifecycle implementations.
- Strong configuration experience in core finance, purchasing, and procurement modules.
- Significant experience in public sector environments (policing experience is desirable).
- A deep understanding of UK statutory requirements, VAT, and public-sector finance processes.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
