Job Description

Curious about actuarial modelling? Bring your Finance expertise and discover a whole new side of Wealth & Insurance Finance.
We are looking for people with Finance process, accounting, reporting, controls, or data experience who are curious, improvement-focused, and ready for a fresh challenge. You do not need an actuarial background to apply.
What you’ll be doing:
Join the Actuarial Modelling Production team within Wealth & Insurance Finance and work at the intersection of Finance, data, technology, and actuarial modelling. You’ll support the processes behind modelling and financial reporting, from preparing inputs and running production using Prophet and R to delivering valuations, analysis of movement, and sensitivities. No actuarial experience is required—just experience in Finance processes, accounting, reporting, controls, or data, alongside curiosity, a drive to improve, and a willingness to learn.
In this role, you’ll:
- Run key actuarial production processes that support important Finance and reporting activities
- Prepare data and model inputs, running production systems and delivering high-quality outputs
- Investigate issues, getting to the root cause and taking action to resolve them
- Turn improvement ideas into practical changes that strengthen efficiency, controls, and resilience, by exploring modernisation and automation of existing processes
- Work with colleagues across Finance, Actuarial, and Technology to improve end-to-end delivery
- Build a strong understanding of how actuarial modelling supports financial reporting and business decision-making

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
