Time Commitment: Part-time (3-5 hours/day, flexible schedule; designed to run alongside a full-time role)
Compensation: £75-100/h (Tiered structure based on expertise, seniority, and output quality)
About the Role
We are hiring experienced finance, audit, and insurance professionals to build, test, and evaluate frontier AI models applied to real-world, high-complexity professional work. Today’s models can summarize a 10-K or run basic text tasks. None of them can independently execute a three-statement model from scratch, reconcile complex portfolio discrepancies, handle ISDA/CSA collateral adjustments, draft a committee-ready credit memo, or conduct an audit flux commentary that would survive partner review.
In this role, you will take full ownership from Day 1—translating your hands-on institutional experience into structured evaluation environments, real-world proof-of-concept (POC) datasets, and stress-tested financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Scenario & POC Development: Design end-to-end financial, audit, and insurance scenarios from scratch—defining the entity, financials, capital structure, accounting constraints, and regulatory policies.
- Hands-on Execution & Recording: Complete complex analyses within our environment while recording your workflow and documenting expert judgment calls (e.g., normalization add-backs, facility sizing, underwriting risk factors, and accounting treatments).
- AI Error Diagnosis: Review where AI models fail and diagnose whether the root cause is a mechanical error, analytical flaw, or missing domain judgment.
- Specialized Domain Integration:
- Collateral & Derivatives: ISDA SIMM methodology, ISDA CSA public templates, CME SPAN documentation, interest rate settlement reconciliation, and margin calls.
- Liquidity & Treasury: Basel III LCR/NSFR frameworks, BCBS intraday liquidity principles, cash flow sweep schedules, and subsidiary balance sheet modeling.
- Audit & Accounting: Intercompany breaks, bank/sub ledger reconciliations, accruals, prepaid amortization, variance/budget flux commentary, and statutory reporting.
- Insurance & Risk: Technical underwriting, loss ratio analysis, claims processing workflows, reserve modeling, and actuarial evaluation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
