This role will report into one of our Senior Finance Project Accountants and they will also work closely with the Senior Finance Project Manager. Job Requirements and Experience
- A number of years’ experience within the Marketing/Advertising/Comms industry, preferably with some experience within the international Med Comms industry
- Good understanding of industry standards including accounting principles, particularly around revenue recognition
- Has experience with Paprika accounting software or similar advanced project management system
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Efficient time management and organizational skills
- Good team communication and influencing skills
- Proactive and flexible approach, a problem solver, adaptable to and an advocate of new systems and sharing of ideas
- Preferably finance or accounting degree and/or part qualified from a relevant professional body, ideally looking to complete their studies in due course
- Ability to work collegiately, but also on own initiative, and in a largely remote but still highly communicative and supportive environment

Duties and Responsibilities

- Support the Senior FPA to oversee up to $12m of fee-based revenue, ensuring all projects are reconciled when complete to an audit ready standard
- Daily management of the VP finance reporting packs
- Work closely with the senior finance team and Client Services to improve recoverability and productivity across their clients and team
- Support the completion and evaluation of various reporting to improve business efficiency, making recommendations to senior finance team members
- Prepare job profitability analysis which involves regular liaison with Client Services to understand variances from expectations, and the commercial and financial aspects of client relationships
- Work closely with Client Services to raise and check client estimates before they are sent, comparing the estimate with similar projects to ensure we are charging the correct amount
- Support Client Services team with monthly reconciliations and ad-hoc queries
- Use problem solving skills to ensure the resolution of any system or reporting challenges
- Be on hand to assist staff across the business with Paprika and process/policy queries
- Able to communicate with clients troubleshooting day-to-day issues such as budgeting and job administration
- Actively engage with client meetings to support client services team
- Assist with the preparation of month end management accounts, focusing on revenue recognition and WIP
- Help ensure all financial transactions recorded are compliant with financial policies and procedures, highlighting any breaches to senior team
- Raise sales invoices to clients and ensure timely receipt of payment
