The Opportunity

A fast-growing technology and hardware business is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join its expanding London finance team.

The company operates a project-led model, delivering a mixture of technology, hardware and service solutions to its customers. With projects ranging from shorter-term implementations through to complex, multi-year contracts, the business is looking for someone to take ownership of the financial accounting and reporting across its project portfolio.

This is a broad role sitting between financial control, project accounting and commercial finance, with significant exposure to operational stakeholders across the business.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning revenue recognition and contract accounting across a portfolio of customer projects
  • Accounting for contracts spanning multiple accounting periods, including percentage completion
  • Managing WIP, accrued and deferred revenue
  • Ensuring project costs and labour are accurately captured and allocated
  • Producing monthly project reporting covering revenue, costs, margins and project performance
  • Investigating project variances and ensuring movements and adjustments are fully understood
  • Preparing monthly management accounts through to gross margin
  • Supporting consolidated reporting across multiple entities
  • Managing project-related intercompany accounting
  • Reviewing project provisions and ensuring balances are appropriately supported
  • Working closely with commercial and operational teams to understand project performance
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting with accurate project financial information
  • Improving finance processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to scale
  • Supporting the development of ERP, project costing and management reporting systems
  • Acting as a key finance contact for project-related audit and statutory reporting

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
