Regulatory Business Analyst

As a Regulatory Business Analyst in Global Program Management within Finance & Business Management, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of strategic projects across the organisation. You will work closely with EMEA Regulatory Reporting, Technology, and Line of Business teams to ensure initiatives are executed efficiently and align with business objectives. You will play a key role in supporting regulatory reporting requirements, application enhancements, and technical change. Your work will help drive business growth and operational excellence.
Job responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective communication and engagement with EMEA Regulatory Reporting, Technology, and Line of Business teams.
- Contribute to project scope, approach, and timelines, ensuring EMEA Regulatory impacts are understood and requirements are met.
- Work within an Agile delivery framework, participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, showcases, and retrospectives.
- Partner with Product Owners, Technology, and business stakeholders to translate regulatory and business outcomes into well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the Product Oriented Delivery (POD) model as part of a cross-functional product team, taking ownership from discovery through to continuous improvement.
- Ensure business requirements and testing strategies are clearly documented, communicated, and delivered against critical success criteria.
- Articulate and agree test environment requirements.
- Raise and escalate issues, driving them through to resolution.
- Highlight risks and dependencies, presenting mitigation options to Project Management and the EMEA Regulatory Reporting team.
- Raise business requirements and perform functional testing.
- Engage with the Reporting team in trainings and handover following change management and act as a point of contact and business advisor regarding implemented changes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written skills with clear, concise, and logical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting rules, including credit risk, market risk, and financial reporting.
- Experience with regulatory software reporting packages (AXIOM).
- Knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
- Advanced Excel and/or Access skills, with ability to work with large data sets effectively.
- Experience in user testing planning and execution.
- Understanding of the project life cycle.
- Practical experience with Agile delivery methods and working within a Product Oriented Delivery (POD) or similar model.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills.
