Robert Half is recruiting a Finance Reporting & Systems Analyst on behalf of a well-established and diversified private business, based near Bournemouth. The organisation operates across multiple entities and sectors, offering genuine variety and stability. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-run, multi-faceted business with real breadth of exposure.
The Role
We're looking for a highly organised Financial Analyst to support the central finance function through accurate data management, reporting and systems administration. This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys working with data, is confident in Excel, is naturally tech-savvy, and is motivated by improving processes and delivering meaningful management information.
You'll work across finance and operational systems to maintain data integrity, produce regular reporting, and support ongoing process improvement initiatives - reporting directly into a very supportive Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the production of regular financial, KPI and management reports using Excel and other reporting tools
- Maintain accurate finance and operational data across multiple systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Assist with reconciliation and consolidation of data from multiple systems to ensure accurate reporting
- Support development and maintenance of Excel reports and Power Query solutions, with scope to develop into Power BI in future
- Provide day-to-day support for finance systems, including maintaining system records and assisting users with queries
- Support system testing, upgrades and data mapping for new functionality
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analysis
Your Profile
- Advanced Excel skills - formulas, PivotTables and data analysis essential; knowledge of Power Query/Power Pivot desirable, or a strong willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
- Comfortable working with large datasets and producing accurate reports
- Understanding of accounting principles and management reporting
- Good numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies
- A proactive, organised approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator, able to support colleagues with finance system queries

- £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
- 6% employer pension contribution (3% employee)
