Senior Associate, Structured Finance

It starts with our people, which is why we need a Senior Associate to join our team. Our Finance practice advises many of the world’s leading financial institutions, corporates, funds and advisors in relation to the full range of international and domestic financial markets products. This role will provide BCLP’s clients with specialist, dedicated Securitisation and Structured Capital Markets advice and transactional support. This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark within our Structured Finance team and the wider Firm.
- Our Structured Finance team provides advice to a broad range of clients on a wide variety of structured finance and debt capital markets products.
- We assist clients in relation to securitisations, asset-based financings, capital markets financings, distressed portfolio acquisitions and loan work-outs in both the UK as well as assisting clients in emerging markets particularly in Africa and other jurisdictions in the consumer, SME and corporate finance, corporate and residential real estate and infrastructure sectors.
Skills and experience required
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Associate with at least five years post qualification UK, broad based finance experience. You will have a background in debt finance ideally in structured finance, securitisation and/or structured debt capital markets (e.g. real asset financings).

You must be fluent in French and have experience drafting in French.
Legal Excellence
- You will be able to use your specialist technical skills and knowledge to provide practical solutions for clients
- You will be at ease with taking client instructions and demonstrate a full understanding of their goals
- You will have the ability to manage complex files and multiple workloads
- You will be able to take responsibility for ensuring client matters and files are appropriately supervised and managed
Client Relationships & Business Development
- You will be comfortable giving commercially astute advice and demonstrating a thorough understanding of the commercial issues that your clients face
- You will have excellent networking skills, allowing you to build your network and profile across the Firm and externally
Financial Performance
- You will demonstrate a full understanding of the drivers of profitability and understand how the business achieves growth
- You will have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple work demands allowing you to dedicate adequate time to fee earning and non-fee earning activities
