Finance Solution Architect - £700-750 p/d - 12 Month Contract
We’re looking to speak with an experienced Finance Solution Architect with a background in Life Insurance, Pensions, General Insurance, or Specialty Insurance.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering finance transformation programmes, working across technology, processes, data, and operating models within complex insurance environments.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead finance transformation initiatives tailored to the needs of insurance and bulk annuity clients
- Support the implementation and integration of ERP/EPM platforms and associated finance data models
- Drive improvements across finance processes, including financial close and reporting cycles
- Design and implement Finance Target Operating Models (TOMs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Work closely with Actuarial, Data & Analytics, and Reporting teams
- Ensure solutions align with regulatory frameworks including Solvency II and IFRS 17
- Lead transformation programmes from mobilisation through to delivery and benefits realisation
- Support business development through proposals, client presentations, and thought leadership

What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Significant experience in finance transformation within the insurance sector
- Strong knowledge of finance systems such as Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, or equivalent platforms
- Excellent understanding of finance processes, reporting, close, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working with finance data models and maintaining data integrity
- Proven experience designing and implementing finance operating models
- Experience leading complex transformation programmes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with C-suite stakeholders

Desirable:
- ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification
- Consulting or professional services experience
- Exposure to GenAI, automation, or modern data platforms within finance
- Experience with NextGen Analytics and management reporting in insurance
