Pricing Governance Manager

Location: London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time

Overview

Our client, an international insurer, is seeking a Pricing Governance Manager to help develop and embed effective pricing governance across its operations.

This newly created role will work across Pricing, Underwriting, Risk and Audit, ensuring pricing activities are supported by clear governance, proportionate oversight and effective reporting. You will coordinate governance activity, support key forums and help maintain visibility of risks, actions and obligations.

The role suits someone from an insurance pricing, underwriting, governance or risk background who can translate governance requirements into practical business outcomes and build strong relationships across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of the pricing governance framework.
  • Maintain pricing governance policies, guidance, processes, documentation and training materials.
  • Coordinate governance reporting and management information for key forums and committees.
  • Monitor governance activities, actions, risks and issues, ensuring they are appropriately tracked and reported.
  • Work with Pricing, Underwriting, Risk and Audit teams to promote a consistent approach to pricing governance.
  • Provide governance advice and guidance to stakeholders and contribute to relevant governance forums.
  • Support governance reviews, attestations and remediation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve governance effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Experience within insurance pricing, underwriting, governance or risk.
  • Knowledge of insurance pricing activities and frameworks, gained directly or through working closely with pricing teams.
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes and challenge constructively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret information, identify themes and support informed decision-making.
  • Proactive approach to continuous improvement and practical problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

  • Degree and/or equivalent professional qualification.
