You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, training, and post-go-live support; ensuring that Business Central and associated reporting solutions align with client business objectives.
Working closely with Finance stakeholders, Project Managers, Solution Architects, and technical teams, you will design and configure financial processes, reporting frameworks, and management information solutions that provide clients with meaningful business insight and operational efficiency.
A key aspect of the role will be the implementation and optimisation of financial reporting and planning solutions, including experience with at least one leading reporting platform such as Jet Reports, Solver, Cosmos, Power BI, or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects with a primary focus on finance and reporting.
- Conduct discovery workshops to understand client finance processes, reporting requirements, budgeting needs, and management information requirements.
- Analyse business requirements and design scalable finance solutions using Business Central and associated ISV products.
- Configure and implement core financial functionality, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Banking, VAT, Dimensions, Budgets, and Financial Reporting.
- Lead the design and delivery of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical solutions.
- Work with reporting tools such as Jet Reports, Solver, Cosmos, Power BI, or similar solutions to deliver management reporting and business intelligence requirements.
- Conduct pre-sales discovery sessions, demonstrations, and solution workshops with prospective customers.
- Develop solution designs, functional specifications, process maps, and documentation.
- Support data migration, testing activities (SIT and UAT), cutover planning, and go-live execution.
- Deliver comprehensive end-user and administrator training.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, and innovation across finance processes.
- Mentor and support junior consultants, providing guidance on finance best practices and Business Central functionality.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain awareness of emerging Microsoft technologies, ISV solutions, reporting tools, and industry best practices.
- Ensure project activities comply with internal quality standards, governance processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
