Location: Titchfield, Hampshire

Eaton's Aerospace business is a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. Our site is undergoing a significant transformation as we relocate to a new facility in Daedalus. This state-of-the-art site will be the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe, marking a new era of innovation and excellence.

We are a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. We have extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types.

Role Overview

This role is the primary finance support for the footprint strategy and construction of a new manufacturing plant in Daedalus. It specializes in analyzing financial data to project the financial impact of the project, coordinating with the project team on its success, and aligning with the operations finance team to establish finance processes for operations to commence in 2027. The role is a key contributor to deploying the footprint strategy with financial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the process of modeling the financial impact of the project, ensuring that updates to investment, savings, taxes, and other inputs are included in the analysis.
  • Partner with the project team to identify inefficiencies and process improvement opportunities that will result in improved financial results of the project.
  • Assist in development of strategic and annual profit plan information for the footprint strategy.
  • Provide business partnership to all areas of the project regarding functional expertise and cross-functional support, providing guidance and education as needed to team personnel to achieve financial objectives. Act as advisor and provide counsel to staff and personnel regarding financial operations and interpretation of financial information.
  • Prepare capital appropriation requests in accordance with corporate policy. Manage and monitor spending against the Project capital budget, and perform post audit to assess success of the project upon completion.
  • Establish/govern budgeting structure to ensure traceability of operating expenses, headcount, and other P&L costs dedicated to the Project.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 4 years of Finance/Accounting experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment.

Skills

  • Knowledge & understanding of Corp, Region/Division and Plant reporting policies.
  • Technical capability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data/reports.
  • Superior analytical and thinking skills; Intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities often with demanding time constraints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to motivate and help direct the organization; exhibits managerial courage in defending a position and handling conflict.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities to achieve clear alignment between plant and region/division.
  • CPA/CMA/MBA or progress towards the completion of these is preferred.
  • Sound working knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and local statutory requirements.
  • Experience with advanced financial modeling and decision making.
