Finance Systems Accountant Interim

We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing speciality Insurer to recruit a Finance Systems Accountant Interim. The successful candidate will drive the transformation of the finance and actuarial function by identifying, designing and delivering solutions that automate manual work, improve data quality and enhance existing tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive the transformation of Finance and Actuarial functions through automation, process improvement, and enhanced technology solutions.
  • Review existing Finance and Actuarial processes to identify opportunities to automate manual activities and improve efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate process duplication, streamline workflows, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
  • Improve data quality, accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across Finance and Actuarial processes.
  • Scope, design, build, and test new technology solutions using modern tools, best practices, and innovative approaches.
  • Work closely with IT teams to assess, implement, and onboard software solutions that support business transformation.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver transformation initiatives from initial scoping through to implementation.
  • Support the transition of new solutions from development into production, ensuring effective adoption across the business.
  • Develop and deliver training to stakeholders to support the successful implementation and adoption of new solutions.
  • Help establish appropriate support models and processes to ensure new solutions remain effective and sustainable.
  • Contribute to the wider ERP transformation programme where required, providing delivery support or additional capacity as priorities change.
  • Identify and leverage proven solutions, capabilities, and best practices from across the wider organisation to support local Finance and Actuarial transformation.

  • Technical background in either Finance or Actuarial within General Insurance/Lloyd’s Insurance Market.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Power Query / Power Pivot.
  • Knowledge of data preparation tools (Alteryx & Power Query).
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
