Finance & Systems Analyst

Location: Manchester
Working pattern: 4 days per week in the office
Salary: £35,000 + bonus and wider benefits

About the Role

We are a growing energy transition infrastructure business operating across a number of projects and assets in the UK.

We are looking for a hands-on Finance professional to join the team and support the day-to-day running of the Finance function, whilst developing an increasing focus on how technology can be used to improve the way Finance operates.

This is a broad role suited to someone at an early stage of their Finance career who has a good grounding in transactional accounting, is confident using technology and enjoys finding better ways of doing things.

You will initially spend the majority of your time supporting core Finance activities, including accounts payable, purchase orders, supplier payments, reconciliations and month-end processes. Over time, you will also become increasingly involved in improving processes, systems, reporting and the use of automation across Finance.

You do not need to be an automation or AI specialist. We are more interested in someone who is comfortable with technology, learns systems quickly and is naturally curious about how processes could be made more efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations

  • Support the day-to-day Finance function across the Group.
  • Process supplier invoices and purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure costs are correctly coded and allocated.
  • Respond to supplier and internal queries relating to invoices, payments and costs.
  • Prepare and support regular supplier payment runs.
  • Process other Group payments and transfers as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Reconciliations & Month-End

  • Complete regular bank reconciliations and investigate unreconciled items.
  • Process and reconcile employee expenses and company expenditure.
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations and investigate differences.
  • Assist with the month-end close process.
  • Provide accurate transactional information to support financial reporting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Assist with financial analysis and reporting as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
