Interim Finance Systems Analyst
Charity Sector | London (Hybrid) | 3-6 Month Contract | £300-£350 per day
We are partnering with a large, multi-site education organisation seeking an Interim Finance Systems Analyst to play a key role in the ongoing implementation and optimisation of Sage Intacct.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a major finance transformation programme, helping to improve systems, data quality, reporting capabilities and user experience across a complex organisation. Working closely with finance, operational and technology teams, you will support system administration, integrations, data management and end-user adoption while ensuring the new ERP platform delivers maximum value to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, configuration and ongoing development of Sage Intacct.
- Administer finance systems and assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Support system integrations using APIs, JSON and XML.
- Manage data validation, cleansing, migration and reconciliation activities.
- Develop and enhance reporting capabilities using advanced Excel tools.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
- Investigate and resolve system, data and integration issues.
- Produce system documentation, user guides and process maps.
- Train and support colleagues in the effective use of finance systems.
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist with testing and quality assurance activities during system enhancements and upgrades.

About You
You will be a detail-oriented and technically capable systems professional with experience supporting finance systems in a live environment. Alongside strong Excel skills, you will be comfortable working with data, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting integrations between multiple platforms. You will enjoy solving problems, identifying root causes and working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience of finance systems support, integrations, data management and user training, rather than solely project-based exposure.

Person Specification
Essential
- Ability to write and work with JSON.
- Ability to write and work with XML.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, complex formulas and macros.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and support colleagues.
- Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Preferred
- Sage Intacct experience.
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
- PS Financials (IRIS) experience.
- Data management, migration and data cleansing experience.
Desirable
- Part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience as a Finance Systems Administrator, Accounting Systems Administrator or Systems Accountant.
