The Department
The Finance System Team plays a significant role in the operational success of Dentons. We look for focused, flexible individuals from a variety of backgrounds who are team players. The Role
Dentons is recruiting a Finance Systems Analyst. The individual will have responsibility for providing technical support, system analysis and administration, and championing system best practice for the firm's financial systems which include Elite 3E, Intapp Time and Emburse expense management solutions. The firm has recently implemented a new Practice Management System after a multi-year programme and the role is instrumental in maximizing return on that investment.
The successful candidate must have:
- 4+ years' experience working within a Finance, IT or professional services technical support team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities.
- Demonstrated the ability to work in a support model (technical and/or business) with a proven track record supporting business-critical applications.
- Skilled in identifying and implementing innovation and improvements in service delivery.
- Excellent skills in working with business, technical teams and external vendors and developing strong stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent documentation skills.
Role Responsibilities
- Daily monitoring and data integrity checks for the suite of financial systems.
- System administration and support for other financial systems including Elite 3E, Intapp Time, Emburse, Enable (ERM).
- Analysing data feeds in Integration Builder to ensure accurate system integration.
- Handling missing time queries from both Legal Service and Business Service colleagues.
- Administering system access control and configuring system security.
- Proactively respond to queries and requests via email, telephone, and Fresh Helpdesk ITSM.
- Undertaking system Month End process as part of a rostered team.
- Support with the development of system and process enhancements and upgrades.
- Support with a variety of testing activity to ensure quality control.
- Liaising with software vendor and managing escalation of issues and working with them where required.
- Effective and timely status reports to line management.
- Assist with process documentation and instructions to ensure compliance and best practice.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
- Strong Elite 3E experience and knowledge.
- Highly collaborative and able to work with teams and users across offices.
- Excellent communication skills; Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Demonstrate 'can do' attitude to problem solving.
- Aptitude for absorbing information quickly.
- Willingness to develop new skills in wide range of technology.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
- Customer focused, flexible, results driven and used to operating in a period of change.
- Able to thrive working under pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to work in global environment with wide variety of people and projects in a collective and collaborative manner.
Desirable:
- Experience of IT and Finance operations and strong knowledge and experience in IT/Finance practices.
- Experience with financial and system related audits.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation and management.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL (T-SQL) or OQL highly advantageous.
- Understanding of databases, servers and system infrastructure beneficial.
- Experience managing or being involved with full life cycle projects beneficial.
- Experience in post-system transition activities and support.
- Process design, implementation, and optimisation.
- Collaboration with developers and technical teams.
- Strong business partnering with stakeholders.
