This person can be based in our Bath office on a hybrid working model.

At Buro Happold, we are driven by a commitment to creating a better future through engineering, design and advisory expertise. As part of our global finance team, you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in improving the systems, processes and technology that support our international business.

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Financial Systems Analyst to join our Central Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining finance, systems and process improvement, and wants to help shape the future of finance operations within a collaborative global environment.

About The Role

We're looking for someone with strong financial and analytical capability, a passion for systems and process improvement, and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver finance system enhancements including testing, implementation, user training and post-go-live support.
  • Gather finance requirements and translate them into detailed, well-defined IT project briefs.
  • Support the coordination of finance and IT resources to ensure projects are delivered successfully and on schedule.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, process guides and user training materials.
  • Support system upgrades, including testing, issue resolution and sign-off activities.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to minimise risk and maintain the integrity of finance systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and maximise the value of existing systems.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to meet evolving business requirements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a key point of contact for finance system queries and support colleagues across the global business.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives as required by Finance leadership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
