We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing speciality Insurer to recruit a Finance Systems Business Analyst. The successful candidate will support the Head of Finance Systems and wider Finance team in delivering finance systems, process and data transformation over a 12-month interim period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key bridge between Finance, Technology, and Data teams, ensuring Finance requirements are clearly understood and translated into practical, scalable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the end-to-end Finance systems landscape, including system architecture, interactions, data flows, integrations, ownership models, and reporting dependencies.
  • Support the delivery of the Finance Systems strategy through business analysis, requirements definition, process design, solution evaluation, and implementation support.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing evolution of the Finance Systems Blueprint by documenting the current-state architecture, identifying gaps, and supporting the design of the target-state operating model.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify Finance processes, automate manual activities, strengthen controls, reduce complexity, and improve scalability.
  • Define detailed business requirements, process maps, user stories, dependencies, decision points, data requirements, and implementation inputs for transformation initiatives.
  • Support the development of Databricks as the single source of truth for Finance data, including data ownership, standards, governance, quality controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Identify and coordinate the resolution of data issues, helping to improve data consistency, completeness, accuracy, reliability, and usability.
  • Review Finance integrations and recommend improvements to ownership, monitoring, resilience, performance, and scalability.
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, Data, Procurement, Human Resources, and external vendors to deliver effective system, data, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Support the optimisation of key Finance platforms, including NetSuite and Concur, by assessing system capabilities, processes, controls, reporting, integrations, vendor roadmaps, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Procure-to-Pay, travel and expense processes, automation, analytics, and reporting while reducing manual reconciliations, spreadsheet dependencies, and end-user computing solutions.
  • Support testing, implementation, stakeholder adoption, benefits tracking, governance, and continuous improvement to ensure Finance technology investments deliver maximum value.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
