Finance Systems, Data & Analytics Manager

Are you excited by the opportunity to shape how Finance uses data, technology and analytics? Would you like to lead the development of reporting solutions that improve decision-making across a complex and ambitious organisation? We are looking for a Finance Systems, Data & Analytics Manager to join our Group Finance team in Liverpool. This is an opportunity to take ownership of our Finance reporting environment and help us use data, automation and emerging technology to deliver better insight across the business.

Your Role

As our Finance Systems, Data & Analytics Manager, you will lead the development of Finance reporting, data and analytics capabilities across Peel Ports Group. You'll ensure our reporting environment delivers accurate, meaningful insight that supports decision-making at every level of the business.

You will take ownership of key Finance reporting platforms, including Power BI, SAP S/4HANA, Azure Data Lake and Anaplan, driving continuous improvement in data quality, governance and reporting standards. You'll also identify opportunities to leverage automation and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and enhance business performance.

Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Technology and Operations, you'll translate complex business requirements into practical reporting and analytics solutions, while helping to build a culture of self-service reporting and data-driven decision making.

What you’ll bring

You will be degree educated (or equivalent) in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or similar field, or qualified through experience, as well as:

  • Strong experience of using Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling and DAX
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Anaplan, and enterprise reporting environments
  • Strong SQL, data analysis and data management skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining finance reporting, self-service analytics and data solutions, with an understanding of core finance processes, management reporting and planning data structures
