Finance Systems Developer – Elite 3E
Location: Glasgow/London /Hybrid
An established professional services organisation is looking for an experienced Finance Systems Developer to join its technology team, with a primary focus on Elite 3E and other critical financial systems.
You'll work closely with internal business teams, Business Analysts, and technology colleagues to develop and enhance systems, support day-to-day operations, and help shape the future technology roadmap.
This is an exciting time to join the organisation, with the role playing an important part in a wider transformation and merger programme. The business is beginning a journey to move key systems from on-premise environments towards the cloud, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to play a key role in this transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support Elite 3E and related financial applications.
- Act as a key technical point of contact for financial systems.
- Use SQL and development technologies including VB/.NET and Visual Studio to develop and maintain solutions.
- Work closely with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Provide ongoing BAU support, troubleshooting, and technical problem solving.
- Participate in requirements gathering, discovery sessions, and solution design.
- Contribute to technology strategy and systems roadmap discussions.
- Research emerging technologies and developments in the market to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Explore potential AI and automation opportunities across financial and business processes.
- Support the transition from on-premise applications to cloud-based solutions.
- Work collaboratively across business and technology teams to deliver projects and system improvements.
- Present technical information and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and straightforward way.

About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical development skills with the ability to work confidently with business stakeholders.
You may come from a legal, financial services, banking, or another complex enterprise environment.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience with Elite 3E, Aderant, or a comparable financial/enterprise system.
- Strong SQL development experience.
- Experience with VB.NET/.NET, Visual Studio, or similar development technologies.
- Experience developing, supporting, or enhancing business-critical applications.
- Experience working alongside Business Analysts and business users on requirements gathering and solution development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, clear language.
- Confidence contributing to meetings, discovery sessions, and discussions with business stakeholders.
- An interest in technology strategy, systems roadmaps, and emerging technologies.
- Experience with cloud migration, application modernisation, or cloud-based financial systems would be advantageous.
