We are currently looking for a Finance Systems Developer to join our Finance department.

At Northern Powergrid, our vision is to be the best energy company in serving our 3.9 million homes, whilst delivering a sustainable energy solution. As a Financial Systems Developer you will be responsible for the ongoing support and development of Financial and Reporting Systems including supporting the delivery of the new Oracle Fusion back office platform.

Along with a competitive salary of between £50,000 - £60,000 we also offer great benefits such as:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a first-line functional support partner for Finance, triaging issues and escalating to IT or vendors where required.
  • Contribute to continual improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance controls and optimise Fusion/ E-business suite configuration.
  • Maintain and support existing platforms such as Hubble Reporting and E-business suite - HCM and ERP including supporting Financial Cycles e.g. Month end/ Year End.
  • Have a proactive continual improvement approach to dealing with issues, queries and looking to leverage our platforms, data and future innovation to improve efficiency.
  • Support on designated aspects of the Oracle Fusion ERP implementation, including requirements gathering, design walkthroughs, testing cycles and go live readiness.

Key Competencies:

  • Core Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Projects) combinations of not necessary all.
  • Experience and or knowledge of working with Oracle Fusion and E-business Suite and reporting platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical and financial issues.
  • Ability to summarise and present written and verbal updates for senior stakeholders
  • Good experience of presenting complex pieces of work to a wide range of stakeholders both up and down the organisaitonal hierarchy ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience of working within projects and maintaining project documentation
  • Clear capability to think and deliver innovatively while also maintaining day to day performance of platforms.
  • Highly organised, with great attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and control. With a clear systems and controls mindset and sound commercial/business knowledge

Qualifications and Skills

Essential

  • Qualified in either Finance, systems or similar. Relevant experience also considered.
  • Proven ability to produce and maintain documentation.
  • Experience building reports.

Desirable

  • Oracle E-Business Suite Training and Certification
  • Oracle Fusion Training and Certification
  • Previous experience working with Oracle Fusion
  • Experience of Oracle reporting tools
  • Accountancy Qualification or similar
