Job Title: Finance Systems Governance Advisor

Location: Glascoed; Wales or Frimley; Surrey.

Salary: Circa £38,000 depending on experience

Job Description

We are seeking a Finance Systems Governance Advisor to support the governance, control and ongoing management of key finance systems, with particular responsibility for the Delegation of Authority (DOA) service. With a considerable focus on ServiceNow, you will manage system queries, support governance and compliance activities, contribute to system improvements, and work closely with Finance, IT and Governance stakeholders to ensure effective and compliant processes.

Core Duties

  • Manage and support the Delegation of Authority (DOA) service and associated governance processes
  • Manage and resolve finance systems queries through ServiceNow
  • Support system testing, upgrades and change initiatives, including DOA-related projects
  • Monitor compliance with finance systems controls and report findings
  • Investigate control issues and support the implementation of corrective actions
  • Work with Finance, IT and Governance teams to improve processes and controls
  • Provide evidence and support for internal and external audits
  • Support user access reviews and other system compliance activities

Essential Skills

  • Significant experience using ServiceNow within a systems support, governance or controls environment
  • Experience working with finance systems governance, controls and compliance processes
  • Experience identifying and managing risks associated with data, user access and system changes
  • Experience supporting system testing, enhancements and change initiatives
  • Understanding of Delegation of Authority (DOA) processes and controls
  • Experience building Microsoft Access databases would be highly advantageous but not essential

The Finance Team

You will be joining the Head Office Finance team, which is responsible for the governance, control and continuous improvement of key finance systems and processes across the business. Operating in a busy and dynamic environment, the team leads the delivery and system support of the Delegation of Authority (DOA) service, with ServiceNow being a key system used within the role. Working across Finance, IT and Governance functions, the team is involved in a range of change and improvement projects, providing opportunities to develop expertise in finance systems governance, financial controls and risk management, while building relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
