Finance Systems Lead - Contract

What You'll Be Doing
The Finance Systems Accountant ensures Business Central and wider finance systems operate securely, accurately and effectively, driving system optimisation, automation and process improvements while acting as the key link between Finance, IT and external partners.
- Own and manage key Finance systems, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Jedox, ensuring systems and data are reliable, secure and optimised.
- Lead system upgrades, releases and change management, coordinating impact assessments, testing, UAT, documentation and third-party support.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation, challenging existing processes, implementing system enhancements and championing Business Central best practice across Finance.
- Enable accurate financial reporting and data, supporting management, regulatory and budgeting requirements while ensuring reliable integration between Business Central, Jedox, Power BI and JET reporting.
- Provide system support and stakeholder management, acting as the key escalation point and liaison between Finance, IT and external partners while managing system changes and approvals.
- Maintain strong controls, compliance and supplier relationships, overseeing user access and permissions, supporting audits, ensuring effective IT controls and managing third-party system providers.

What We’re Looking For
- Practical experience in administration of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
- Practical experience in implementing, configuring, and improving Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Experience of delivering finance system change, enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working in a financial environment
- Ability to use MS365 suite
- Excellent communication skills written and oral.
- Ability to analyse information, make decisions and apply solutions.
- Pro-active, ‘can-do’ behavior and attitude.
- Ability to work as part of diverse teams.
- Able to represent the organisation externally.
