Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with an established international organisation to recruit a Finance Team Lead.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance function within a complex, multi-entity business operating across international markets. Leading a Record to Report team, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and driving continuous improvement across key finance processes.

This role offers an excellent blend of people leadership, financial control and operational improvement, with the opportunity to influence change, develop your team and work closely with senior finance stakeholders across the organisation.

The Role

You'll play a key role in ensuring the Record to Report function delivers an efficient, accurate and high-quality service across multiple entities while supporting ongoing improvements to systems, controls and ways of working.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Record to Report team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team priorities and resources to ensure consistent delivery across multiple entities and international stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships across finance and the wider business, ensuring a high-quality service while identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, helping to standardise, simplify and enhance finance operations.
  • Ensure Record to Report processes are well controlled, fully documented and aligned with agreed service levels and performance measures.
  • Maintain a robust financial control environment, ensuring compliance with internal policies and governance requirements.
  • Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, managing journals, reconciliations, accruals and period-end close activities.
  • Support statutory, regulatory and tax reporting requirements.
  • Partner with Finance Leadership and Internal Audit to strengthen controls and improve financial processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
