Finance Team Leader

St Albans, Hertfordshire (Hybrid)
£38,000 - £40,000 per annum

Ready to step up and lead the transactional finance function at a well-established IT Managed Services Provider?

My client is a respected UK specialist in enterprise networking, cyber security, and managed IT infrastructure, with over 25 years in the market. They're looking for a Finance Team Leader to take ownership of their transactional finance function as the business continues to grow.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll be the go-to person for the Credit Controller and Finance Assistant, and you'll also contribute to reporting, analysis, and process improvement. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy and clean financials, and wants to grow with a business that has real momentum.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
