Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations - Glasgow or Perth
Salary: £85,000 - £102,100 + car /car allowance - if applicable + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The role
The Finance Technology Lead is a senior leadership role driving Finance's digital, automation and AI agenda. Partnering across Finance, Technology and the wider business, you'll shape a forward-looking technology roadmap that enables smarter decision-making, improves performance and enhances control.
You'll champion innovation, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, unlock insights and accelerate digital transformation through automation, advanced analytics and AI. As owner of the Finance technology portfolio, you'll help shape a more connected, data-driven and future-ready Finance function.
We're looking for a qualified finance leader who combines commercial insight with a passion for technology, innovation and continuous improvement. You'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, bringing people together and creating the conditions for successful change, helping to shape a more connected, data-driven and future-ready Finance function.
You will
- Shape the future of Finance by leading the technology, digital, automation and AI roadmap, ensuring solutions are aligned to business priorities and deliver meaningful value.
- Build trusted partnerships across Finance, Technology and the wider business to understand evolving needs, challenge traditional approaches and identify smarter, simpler ways of working.
- Champion innovation, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, unlock insights and accelerate digital transformation through advanced technology such as automation, advanced analytics and AI. As owner of the Finance technology portfolio, you'll help shape a more connected, data-driven and future-ready Finance function.
- Lead and influence a portfolio of transformation initiatives, working collaboratively with stakeholders to prioritise opportunities, drive delivery and embed sustainable change.
- Enable successful adoption and value realisation, ensuring digital and AI investments deliver measurable outcomes, strong user engagement and lasting business impact.
- Develop future capability across Finance, fostering a culture of curiosity, learning and collaboration while helping shape a modern, connected and technology-enabled Finance function.

You have
- Qualified accountant certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification Finance leadership experience in a large, complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of business performance, financial management, decision support and the role of Finance in driving value creation.
- Experience operating at the intersection of Finance, Technology and business change, with credibility across both finance and technical stakeholder groups.
- Experience shaping and delivering technology-enabled transformation, including automation, AI and modern Finance technologies.
- Strong understanding of Finance data, reporting processes, governance and the control implications of technology-enabled change.
- Proven ability to translate complex business problems into clear requirements, practical options and scalable solutions.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders, challenging established thinking constructively and driving change through others.
- Strong portfolio and delivery discipline including demand shaping, prioritisation, benefit realisation and adoption management.
