Junior Associate

At BCLP, we’ve built our firm on the foundations of thinking differently. Curious, inquisitive and unbound by tradition, we’re building change within our sector and beyond.

It starts with our people, which is why we need a junior associate to join our Finance Transactions team. The role would suit someone who is looking to progress their career and focus their practice on commercial lending (including acquisition finance, leveraged finance, asset based finance and fund finance) in a collegiate and highly experienced team.

We work across multiple jurisdictions, which gives our team of associates great exposure to the full spectrum of banking and finance work.

Within this, we ensure that associates are supported so that they can begin to run transactions with autonomy once they can demonstrate the technical and project management skills needed, making this a great place to hone your skills.

Our client base includes corporates, financial institutions, funds and private equity houses. The Finance Transactions group works closely with Corporate Transactions, Real Estate Finance and Energy and Infrastructure.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
