Finance Transformation Consultant - Anaplan
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £550-£600 per day via Umbrella
IR35: Inside IR35
Location: Predominantly remote, with occasional travel to London as required
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Transformation Consultant with strong Anaplan experience to join a major public sector organisation on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Transformation professional who has a strong track record of working with Anaplan, improving finance processes and supporting the delivery of finance reporting solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the completion and implementation of an Investment Reporting solution within Anaplan, working closely with the internal Finance team and an external consulting partner.
The Role
You will support the final stages of the Anaplan Investment Reporting project, helping to ensure the solution is fully built, tested, validated and ready to transition into business-as-usual.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the completion and optimisation of the Anaplan Investment Reporting solution
- Working closely with Finance stakeholders and external implementation consultants
- Reviewing and validating data, calculations and reporting outputs
- Performing detailed data validation and reconciliations
- Supporting and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Identifying, documenting and resolving defects and reporting issues
- Translating Finance requirements into effective reporting and system solutions
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and Finance transformation
- Supporting the management of project risks, issues and dependencies
- Producing clear process and system documentation
- Supporting Finance users through training and knowledge transfer
- Preparing the solution for go-live and transition into BAU
- Ensuring the Finance team has the knowledge and documentation required to operate and maintain the solution following handover

About You
We are looking for someone with a strong combination of Anaplan expertise, Finance transformation experience and process improvement capability.
You will ideally have:
- Strong, hands-on Anaplan experience gained through implementation, development, optimisation or transformation projects
- A background in Finance Transformation, Finance Systems, FP&A Transformation or Process Improvement
- Strong understanding of Finance reporting and planning processes
- Experience working with UAT, testing, data validation and defect resolution
- Strong Excel and data analysis capability
- Experience translating business requirements into system/reporting solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience working alongside external consultants or third-party implementation partners
- Strong documentation, training and knowledge-transfer skills

Experience of investment, portfolio or project reporting would be advantageous, although candidates with strong relevant Finance Transformation and Anaplan experience will also be considered.

This is a great opportunity to join a significant Finance transformation project at an important stage of delivery, with the successful contractor playing a key role in taking the Anaplan solution through testing, implementation, go-live and handover into BAU.
